Analog was founded by Katie Hilton Thorne at the start of 2023 after 15+ years in the retail design industry designing and managing roll-outs in-house for DVF, Alexander Wang and Louis Vuitton among others. Analog addresses two key voids in the market:

The first is that most design firms are solely aesthetically-driven and known to deliver a specific look. Clients go to them to get their vibe. Brands are seeking out designers that align with their aesthetics but often have no real understanding of the intricacies of retail.

The second is that most studios working on retail do not cater to brands without serious investment behind them simply because the barrier to entry cost-wise is just too high for many brands to take on without substantial capital.

At Analog, we believe that all brands should be afforded the opportunity to have a well-designed space, specific to their needs and that exploring retail doesn’t have to break the business. Our objective is to democratize the store design and development services that are typically only afforded to larger companies that have the ability to support an internal retail architecture department.  We believe bringing this knowledge of optimization and aesthetic vision to digitally native brands will greatly impact their growth and success.
